Your game was very well written being very complex and very fun to play. You've translated the idea of an escape room into a text game amazingly.
That was pretty entertaining. I love escape room type games. I also enjoyed the horror aspect (but I mean, what escape room doesn't invoke a bit of horror?)But for a lot of it I wanted to test the "I guess I die" options. I like how you added some variety to the endings as well.
The project was almost playable till the end until I couldn't go back to find the code for the door. User-friendly and well written. The theme is clear and effective. It is suspenseful and thrilling.
Viability: game is playable beginning to end, fun storytelling. Setting builds great suspense, adds to the immersion. Elements work well together.
Presentation: user friendly, fun exploring the story.
Theme:There’s the clear narrative that actions have consequences; insightful regarding taking surroundings and perception into decision making. Choice and reward is neatly tied with actions.
Engagement: engaging, the deaths or game overs make you have more questions which is the foundation for sequels.
A lot was kind of happening all at once, but it was nice to see just how many exploration options we have as the player. It feels like a point and click style game, in a way. I liked, also, that you could choose to stay at the end! The narrator being like "Now you're here with me forever" after there not having been much of a presence for it felt a little disconnected, but otherwise I really enjoyed it! (PS- I loved that you could just look in your wallet and die that way!)
Viability: I can get to the end of the game and did die once. (The death was silly,) The games elements work.
Presentation: The flow of moving around in the game is fine. I think there could be more mechanics but it's user friendly.
Theme: I think the general passages work well for the scenes, but the Stanley Parable like elements need a bit more polish. They kind of pop out a bit too much. maybe ad some more visual flair!
Engagement: Fun during my playthrough, but I think more elements added to escape would be fun.
Stakes are high! This is funny! I took the ending where I die sad cause I have no money. I think you get the basics. Let's see where these concepts take ya. Good sketch!
